It’s been a while since I last wrote here.
I have been really busy with online work and life. During those times, I was thinking of ways to help aspiring virtual freelancers so I put up different social media marketing plans. This article is a marketing plan for Pinterest for you to be able to generate more followers and in return get more clients for the services you offer. Marketing Plan for Pinterest
Objective: Generate more visits per month
For 1 Month Plan:
- Create original content or recreate content with keywords e.g quotes
- Create images with the right size for more visibility.
- Create images with text and don’t forget to put a keyword-rich description.
- Create picture quotes, infographics, etc.
- Pin at least 5-10 times per day.
- Schedule pins throughout the day.
- Posts with more meaning, more audience.
- Don’t forget to put keywords to emphasize what your brand is all about.
- Use hashtags
- Know your target audience/ know your brand
- Create images that can answer questions/inspire or provide solution to your target’s problems/concerns.
- Know your niche but DON’T limit your posts. Post funny, creative and out of the box images that persuade to pin your post.
- Be creative on your posts but always remember to include your brand e.g. logo, watermark
- Make your images pinnable
- Create rich pins
- Don’t forget to make your images pinnable
- Share your pins on other social media sites
- Share pins on Facebook, Google+ or even Twitter with links back to your site
- Add a Pinterest tab app on Facebook page
- Follow, like, comment and pin it!
- Following other top brands/profile, liking, commenting, and pinning their content is one effective way of increasing visits.
3 Month Marketing Plan:
- Create original content or recreate content e.g quotes
- Know your target audience/ know your brand
- Make your images pinnable
- Share your pins on other social media sites
- Follow, like, comment, hashtag and pin it!
- Create boards and be part of other boards
- Use playful titles and include descriptions
- Create collaborative group boards
- Be part of other collaborative boards
- Promote your boards
- Provide helpful content
- Use keywords in all your pins
- Create motivational collage/photoart
- Repin content/Reciprocate
- Look for top companies/brands related to your biz and repin their post
- Make sure you’re repinning helpful content that will stand out
- Jump on the trending topics bandwagon
- Check those people following you, follow them back
- Check Analytics/ Measure results
- Check what people like on your profile
- Check which boards get repinned
- Create similar content
- Observe other brands, check what works with them and see if it will work for your brand as well
- Contests
- Create monthly contests to promote our brand/products
- Mention other brands
- Don’t forget to mention others when repinning or posting their content
6 Month Marketing Plan
- Create original content or recreate content e.g quotes
- Know your target audience/ know your brand
- Make your images pinnable
- Share your pins on other social media sites
- Like, comment and pin it!
- Create boards and be part of other boards
- Repin content/Reciprocate
- Check Analytics/ Measure results
- Contests
- Mention other brand
- Review and evaluate results
- Check the data/analytics, review what is working best, evaluate
- Create quarterly contests
- It’s either we can create contests monthly or quarterly or even both
- Curate a board tour
- Host a board tour for your groups
- Be active
- It doesn’t matter how many groups, pins or followers you have. Be there to have continuous support/visits each month

- Promote Pinterest account with our newsletter
- Add your Pinterest account to your email signature
- Don’t forget to add the tab on FB page
- Don’t forget to schedule pins to come out on weekends
